HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Our training is extremely hands-on and geared on equipping you with abilities that you can utilize in actual emergency situations.
The knowledge and abilities needed to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the Guidelines of the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC). Anyone who might need to perform CPR in a variety of contexts, such as a community or workplace, should take this course.
Specialized training may be necessary for some types of workplaces, such as high-risk environments and childcare facilities. Please ask the training provider for help if you are not sure if the training product is appropriate for you.
Entry Requirements:
In order to pass this course, participants must be physically capable of responding to an emergency including the need to restore breathing and circulation to an adult, child, or newborn that has suffered cardiac arrest.
This includes making sure that every participant can continuously do CPR on an adult resuscitation manikin set on the ground for at least two minutes.
