Inspire & Learn offers 2 modes of study to choose from: Full Time

1. Face to Face – Work-based / Employment-based

2. Online study with work placement

Inspire & Learn also offers Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer (RPL and CT) for students upgrading their qualifications.

Entry Requirements:

· All candidates must be aged 18 years or over at the time of applying for admission to Inspire & Learn.

. Proof of either actively studying or completed Certificate III/ Certificate IV/ Diploma/ Bachelor

Degree equivalent recognized by ACECQA

· A letter of employment

· Working with children check

· Police Check

Note: Letter of employment - relates to working with/for children or in a similar environment. Contact Inspire & Learn staff to check if you meet the entry requirements before enrolling.

Pre-Enrolment Interview, language literacy numeracy & Digital Literacy Test:

You will be required to complete the Pre-Enrolment Interview, LLN & Digital Literacy Test prior to course commencement.

Supervised Practical Placement Agreement (3 party agreement) :

You will be required to complete 240 hours of workplace training in a regulated education and care service.

Duration of training:

52 weeks (inclusive of 240 hours of supervised work placement/ workplace training)

Approx. 20 hours of the weekly study

Employment Pathways available to candidates who complete this qualification are:

· Authorised Supervisor (before and after school care programs Services)

· School Age Care Supervisor

· School Age Care Coordinator

· Lead Educator in before and after school care programs

· Centre manager (After & Before School-age program)

· Director (vacation care/holiday programs/ before and after school care

programs or Outside school hours care program)

· School Age Care Educator

· Lead Educator in vacation care/holiday programs

· Lead roles in leisure/youth programs

· Group/team coordinator/leader (Before and After School Program Services)

· School Age Care Adviser

· Second In-charge

· Other education-based employers may accept this qualification,

such as working as a tutor, support workers, or teacher aides.

Education Pathways:

On successful completion of CHC50213 –Diploma of School Age Education and Care, candidate can study

CHC62015 - Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management.

First Aid Courses Information: When you undertake a qualification with Inspire & Learn, the First Aid courses are not included in the course fee. The First Aid unit is offered by Inspire & Learn in Victoria only, every student must pay for the first aid course unit. The student has the choice to either study at our location where they are required to attend classroom training and must be physically present for the required length of chosen first aid course. If the student cannot attend at our location in Victoria, then the student can choose to attend with any other training provider the approved first aid unit which is listed in their qualification at their own expense, (The first aid units cannot be completed through distance mode and requires a face to face class to be undertaken successfully in order for students to achieve competency in the first aid unit). Inspire & Learn will provide credit transfer once the relevant first aid unit is completed. We recommend choosing the right first aid unit code before enrolling and we encourage you to also check with your trainer before you enroll.
